Worth having to hand when you ring
- The model and serial number — inside the fresh-food door, top left on most built-ins.
- What the display reads, and what the cabinet actually feels like.
- When it changed, and whether anything happened first: a power cut, a hail storm, a move.
- Whether one side is affected or both, on a paired column or a side-by-side.
None of it is essential — but each one shortens the call and improves the odds the right part is already on the van.
